Online Dementia Test & Cognitive Assessment

Online Dementia Test & Cognitive Assessment

If you are worried about changes in memory, concentration or other aspects of thinking, a neuropsychological screening assessment can help provide a clearer picture of your cognitive functioning.

Your assessment is completed online at home and is personally selected, reviewed and interpreted by a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist. You will receive your full results together with a straightforward written report explaining what they mean and what your next steps might be.

The assessment can help identify patterns of strength and difficulty in areas such as memory, attention, processing speed and executive functioning. This can provide useful objective information where there are concerns about cognitive change, and the report can be shared with your GP, memory clinic or other healthcare professional if you wish.

For people facing a long wait for NHS assessment, neuroconsult.co.uk can provide objective information about cognitive strengths and difficulties in the meantime, helping to clarify whether further investigation may be appropriate.

What happens after you book?

After your purchase, we will email you a secure link to complete a pre-assessment questionnaire.

A Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist will review the information you provide and select the most appropriate assessment tests for your circumstances. We aim to send your personalised assessment instructions within two working days of receiving your completed questionnaire.

You then complete the assessment online using a desktop or laptop computer. Once your testing is complete, your results are reviewed and interpreted by the neuropsychologist and we aim to send your written report within seven days.

What will I receive?

Your report will:

  • explain your test results in straightforward language;
  • identify areas of relative cognitive strength and difficulty;
  • highlight any results that may warrant further investigation;
  • put your results into the context of the information you have provided; and
  • suggest appropriate next steps where relevant.
  • Important Information

    This assessment does not diagnose dementia or any other medical condition. It is a cognitive screening assessment which can help identify whether there are areas of concern and provide useful information for your GP, memory clinic or other healthcare professional when considering whether further assessment or investigation is needed.

    The person purchasing the assessment must be aged 18 or over.

    The person being assessed must normally live in the UK and be aged between 16 and 89.

    You will need access to a desktop or laptop computer with a working keyboard, a reliable internet connection and a quiet environment where you will not be distracted. You should be able to see the screen clearly.

    Once your personalised assessment has been generated, the testing link remains valid for seven days. If the link expires because the assessment has not been completed within that period, a new testing package may need to be generated and the current £40 reissue fee will apply.

    This is a clinical neuropsychological screening assessment for personal and healthcare use. It is not a medico-legal or expert-witness assessment and is not intended for use as expert evidence in legal proceedings.

    Please contact us before ordering if you are unsure whether the assessment is suitable for you.
